The Nigeria police has joined the electronic banking(E-Banking) world by launching its microfinance bank (NPF-MFB) into electronic technology and mobile applications.

The move is in line with the commitment of the Force to improving the welfare of its personnel, especially in providing financial services.

Such services include, retail banking, soft loans, and advances, financial advisory etc, according to Frank Mba, a Commissioner of Police, and Force Public Relations Officer, in a statement.

He quoted the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu, as saying that “the initiative will help improve banking experience, customer interaction and operational efficiencies for both serving and retired Police Officers and the public that own accounts and does other financial transactions with the NPF-Micro Finance Bank.

According to the police boss, the bank, which was established about 28 years ago, was becoming one of the fastest growing and leading Microfinance banks in the country with 35 branches nationwide, adding that the initiative will help improve banking experience, customer interaction and operational efficiencies for both serving and retired Police Officers and the general public.
