Veteran actor, Mr Ibu discharged from hospital

Veteran Nollywood actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has been discharged from the hospital following his leg amputation.
The news of his discharge was shared by his junior colleague, Ken Erics, who posted a video update on Mr Ibu’s recovery.
ThisNigeria reported that Mr Ibu, known for his comedic roles in the Nigerian film industry, had his leg amputated for medical reasons.
It can be recalled that the family of the ailing Nollywood actor gave an update on his health status in mid-October and they announced a fundraiser to offset his medical bills at a Lagos hospital.
During his time in the hospital, Stellamaris Okafor, wife of Mr Ibu, accused his adopted daughter, Jasmine Okeke of being secretive with the funds donated by the public for her husband’s treatment.
She described Jasmine as a stranger, who was trying to cause problems in her family through alleged blackmail.
In response to the accusations, Jasmine Okeke alleged that Mrs Okafor also demanded a car, an iPhone15 to be bought from the money contributed for her husband’s treatment.
