A suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari has been declared wanted by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over 25kilograms of illicit drugs.
The Director, Media and Advocacy, NDLEA, Femi Babafemi made the announcement at a press briefing on Monday in Abuja.
Babafemi said an investigation has revealed that Kyari was a member of a drug syndicate that operates across the globe.
In a video released by NDLEA, Kyari could be seen entering the car of an undercover officer of the agency and allegedly negotiating the purchase of illicit drugs.
“There are three packages of drugs. Two small packs of 5kg each in one and 10kg in another bag. In all 25kg. The ones in 5kg will be the ones to be tested,” the undercover officer could be heard saying.
