A Non-Governmental Organization, Consolidation Movement Rivers State Aka Consolidation Family, has lauded Governor Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State for his bold stand to ensure that Rivers State controls Value Added Tax, VAT, which is the Constitutional right of the State.
The Director-General of the Group, Chief Alhaji Hassan Tam Douglas, dropped the hint while chatting with ThisNigeria via telephone.
Tam Douglas, frowned at moves by some state Governors, especially those of Borno and katsina states, to politicize the laudable agitation of Governor Wike, towards ensuring a better future for Rivers people and generations unborn.

He admonished the Governors to leave Rivers State alone and think of other means of generating revenue to fund their various state budgets. He admonished Rivers Sons and Daughters, resident in the state and diaspora, to support the developmental efforts of Governor Wike aimed at positioning the state for greatness, devoid of politics.
