Video of threat to Tinubu’s life was doctored, says Shehu Sani

Former Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna central zone at the 8th Assembly has said the viral video showing rowdiness and panic when President Bola Tinubu was speaking in Kaduna on Thursday, was doctored.
Recall that President Tinubu was in Kaduna to commission several projects executed by Governor Uba Sani’s administration when the incident occurred.
A yet-to-be-identified man attempted to breach the security perimeter while the president was delivering his speech, prompting a brief pause from Tinubu, who appeared momentarily surprised.
Reacting on Friday, Sani, in a post made on Facebook explained that the video was doctored to exaggerate the panic that happened at the event.
He also said that the crowd at the event was deliberately removed to make people believe that the event was scanty.
He wrote, “The speech in this video was made at the capacity-filled Murtala Square, Kaduna Yesterday. There was crowd of people behind the President. THIS VIDEO IS DELIBERATELY DOCTORED by removing the crowd behind the President and grafting the moving image of Mr President into a Room with a Flatscreen TV set hanging behind him; and an exaggerated panic scene was created. And to make it look real, the untempered clip of the VIP section where the Governor sat was added to the concluding part of the Video.
“It’s a fact that a young man breached security and tried to charge towards the VIP section but not towards the President who was then a distance away delivering his speech. Truth and lies were mixed up to create a false impression by the movie producer.” (sic)
