Senate President, Godswill Akpabio; his deputy, Jibrin Barau, on Tuesday paid an appreciation visit to the immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.
Wike received the Senators at his residence in Abuja.
Also, a former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole; former governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje and some other members of the Senate were part of the entourage on the visit.
ThisNigeria reported that Akpabio emerged the President of the 10th Senate after polling a total of 63 votes to defeat his opponent, AbdulAziz Yari, who polled 46 votes.
