Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state has said that the achievements recorded in the primary school education by his administration have not been like that in the secondary Schools.
According to Akeredolu, his administration has not done well in transforming the Secondary Schools across the state as he desired.
He stated this in Akure while addressing some stakeholders in the education sector.
Akeredolu said: “In the spirit of the value we placed on education as a tool for manpower development, you will see that within the limit of our finances, we have strengthened our quality assurance strategies, one in our primary schools and the primary schools are there for us to see today.

“What we have achieved in changing primary education can not be met by any other government and I can say it anytime. We have tried our best.
“We have tried whether we can improve on our secondary Schools but regretfully as I always admit, we have not done too well and the truth must be said.
“But we will try and see whether we can do something (on secondary School education) as we move along. We are committed to doing more but for the paucity of funds.”
