The Yewa-Awori people of Ogun West have reiterated their commitment and unalloyed support for the senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, expressing confidence that his emergence as governor in 2027 would usher in all-round development in Ogun State.
The group said Adeola’s political philosophy, leadership style and record of achievements in infrastructure development, social service delivery and economic empowerment form the basis of their endorsement and overwhelming support.
Speaking with ThisNigeria via telephone on the groundswell of support for Adeola, Bolaji Adeniji, an APC stalwart and convener of the Ogun West Initiative, a socio-political advocacy group, said the backing was driven by the senator’s outstanding contributions to the socio-economic development of Ogun West within a short period.
Adeniji described Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, as the people’s preferred choice for the top job in the state.
According to him, “Senator Adeola, whom we fondly call YAYI because of his exceptional qualities, has demonstrated uncommon commitment to the development of Ogun West and beyond.
“His facilitated and personal projects are not just promises; they are realities that are touching lives daily and making an indelible impact on his constituents and non-constituents alike.”
Adeniji added that the current unity of purpose among the Yewa-Awori people was inspired by the senator’s performance.
He said, “Unlike before, when our people were accused of not speaking with one voice and working at cross-purposes, today the overwhelming majority of Ogun West people are fully backing YAYI because we see him as the best man, by competence and courage, to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun and ensure equitable and robust development across Ogun State.”
