Wike approves promotion of over 2,000 FCDA, FCTA workers

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has approved the immediate promotion of more than 2,000 staff of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) and the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

The promotions followed the successful conduct of promotion examinations held between Tuesday, November 25 and Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Speaking on Wednesday, Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Emeka Ezeh, disclosed that the promoted officers cut across 165 cadres within the FCTA and FCDA.

Ezeh described the exercise as a clear demonstration of the FCT Minister’s commitment to staff welfare and career advancement, assuring that promotion examinations would continue to be conducted as and when due.

He urged civil servants to begin early preparation for the 2025 and 2026 promotion exercises, stressing that only diligent and hardworking officers would be considered.

The commission chairman also reiterated its resolve to sustain the use of Computer-Based Tests (CBT) for promotion examinations, noting that the initiative would further strengthen the digital platform for promotions recently approved by the FCT Minister.Approves Promotion of Over 2,000 FCDA, FCTA Workers
