
Following a nine-day inauguration of projects across the nation’s capital, there is no stopping the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, as he commissioned an access road to Kwali Town, Abuja on Tuesday.
ThisNigeria reports that the projects were commissioned by President Bola Tinubu, who commended the Minister for giving his administration a successful first-year landing.
The projects include:
- N21bn Vice President’s residence abandoned since 2015
- Guzape Lot II Engineering Infrastructure
- Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX) from the Villa Round about to Ring Road I (Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway)
- B6, B12, and Circle Roads in the Central Area
- Inner Southern Expressway (ISEX) and the Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX), known as the first phase of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Expressway
- Arterial Road N20
- Southern Parkway, from National Christian Centre to Ring Road I (Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway)
- Abuja Rail Mass Transit (ARMT) system
- Wuye bridge interchange
Recall that Wike had vowed to deliver on Tinubu’s mandate and administer the territory in compliance with the Abuja Master Plan.
According to the Minister, it will be achieved through the establishment of an effective service-oriented administration that will respond to the needs of all residents and other stakeholders.
He noted that Abuja had witnessed foundation laying ceremonies of several structures worth billions, only to be abandoned midway or at advanced stages of their construction.
