Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike on Sunday met with past and present Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at state’s the Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.
The governors were the coordinators of Wike’s 2022 presidential campaign.
According to reports, the meeting, which held behind closed doors, may not unconnected to the crisis rocking the party.

Present at the crucial meeting include Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state; Governor of Enugu state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi; former governor of Cross River state, Donald Duke; former governor of Benue state, Gabriel Suswam; former Ondo state governor, Olusegun Mimiko; former Bayelsa state governor, Seriake Dickson; Ibrahim Idris of Kogi state and former Plateau state governor Jonah Jang.
ThisNigeria reports that several high profile personalities have visited Governor Wike, who was jettisoned for the post of the Vice Presidential candidate by the PDP flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar.
