William Ruto declared winner of Kenya’s presidential election

The Vice President of Kenya, William Ruto has been declared winner of the country’s presidential election.
Ruto amassed the highest vote in the just concluded presidential election against his rival, Raila Odinga to become the country’s fifth president-elect.
According to the chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, Wafula Chebukati, Ruto had won almost 7.18 million votes (50.49 percent) against 6.94 million (48.85 percent) of his rival Raila Odinga in the August 9 votes.
Experts decry parents, wards sex education gap
Following his declaration, Ruto in his speech thanked the president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta and the country’s electoral commission for a free and fair election.
He further assured to continue with the legacy of his boss and current president of the country, Uhuru Kenyatta.
