William Ruto sworn in as Kenya’s fifth president

Former Vice President of Kenya, William Ruto has been sworn as the new president of the country.
Ruto was officially declared president by the Chief Judge, Martha Koome during the presidential inauguration which took place took place on Tuesday, September 13th at the Karasani Stadium, Kenya.

Following his declaration as president, William Ruto will take over from his former principal Uhuru Kenyatta , to become the fifth president of the country.
He publicly swore the oath of allegiance and other oaths binding his execution of executive functions amid cheers from the crowd present at the event.
