Buhari signs Agricultural Research Council bill into law

President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the bill of Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria with two additional tertiary institutions

The move which is in line with the commitment of his administration to diversify the economy with agriculture playing a critical role,

According to Garba Shehu, Special Assistant to Mr President, in Press release with the amendment, the Council is expected to play a crucial part in coordinating research efforts in the agricultural sector towards achieving food sufficiency and security in the nation.

Repositioning of Bank of Agriculture is non-negotiable – Minister

Garba Shehu said that the President, who assented to the bills before he visited Ethiopia, also approved the establishment of the Federal College of Agriculture, Kirikasamma and the Federal College of Education (Special) Birnin Kudu.
