As part of the activities to mark this year’s 2021 world Malaria day, Prince Ned Nwoko Malaria Foundation organized empowerment for the creative industry with Ruth Libonghaunim who came up with a spoken word emerged as the winner.
Ruth with 2.5 million Naira take home plus holiday trip, now have a platform to stardom.
The Winner gets 5million naira worth of prizes which include: Cash Prize of 2.5m, luxury trip to Mount Ned on a private jet and a weekend at a luxury hotel in Abuja”.
Victory Ashaka, Spokenword, and Julius John Ojoudale Music came second and third respectively.
It will be recalled that in January 2020 the husband of Nollywood Actress, Regina Daniels went on a symbolic expedition to the extremely cold Antarctica to create awareness on the scourge of malaria in Africa and being at the forefront to Eradicate Malaria in Africa starting with Nigeria. He made history as the first black African to reach the South Pole, Antarctica.
Prince Ned Nwoko had on Saturday called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency create an agency to be known as National Action for Malaria Control just like NACA.
He said the need to create the agency will be saddled with the responsibility of eradicating malaria in Nigeria.
Nigerians joined in the commemoration of world malaria day 2021 as Abuja was virtually on a standstill when Prince Ned Nwoko led Malaria Awareness Walk stressing that it’s possible to eradicate malaria in Africa starting with our country.
He was joined by his wife Regina Daniels as well as other Nollywood celebrities, musicians, and comedians
Ned used the opportunity to address the crowd who joined the advocacy walk, stressing the need for Sanitation, Waste Management, Vaccine Development, and Fumigation as those are the sustainable approaches to ensure a Malaria free Nigeria and Africa.
The representative of the Nigerian in the Diaspora, Alistair Soyode commended the initiative and pledge the association supports.
Eedris Abdulkareem opined that this is a wake-up call for all leaders across Nigeria to get a vaccine because there’s a vaccine for other diseases that are not as deadly as Malaria.
The Billionaire Philanthropist and Antarctica explorer Prince Ned Nwoko also used the opportunity to thank all Nigerians that came out across the Nation to create Awareness on the scourge of malaria in Africa.

The project coordinator, Mr. Chukwuebuka Anyaduba also encouraged the citizens to take charge of their environment by ensuring a cleaning environment because mosquitoes breed in the dirt.
All these were put together to commemorate world malaria day and to encourage all the stakeholders for a call to action.
