Following the Supreme Court judgment, last week Friday reaffirming the lower courts judgment on the certificate forgery case against Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole advised the Governor to be magnanimous in victory.

Oshiomhole in his congratulating message to Godwin Obaseki said his victory at the Supreme Court has effectively laid to rest all matters arising from the last election.

According to the former Edo State Governor, ” As I had repeatedly reminded you during our several meetings, our relationship has through the years developed beyond being friends to being brothers of different parents. Whatever happened is unfortunate and I believe God has a reason for everything.

” I have put all behind me and moved on. As I have consistently advised, please be magnanimous in victory. You are the Governor of all Edo people regardless of political leanings. Once again, congratulations Exellency! Please accept the renewed assurances of my very best wishes and high regards.”

Also, Barr. Damian Lawani has congratulated the government , PDP and good people of Edo State over the recent appeal court victory against ADP .

The elswhilst lawmaker and the immediate past Commissioner for youths and sports described the Judgement as a victory for the good of Edo State for believing in the Governor.

“A victory for the party and for democracy.

The legal luminary , astute politician and people oriented politician also urged Edo people to keep believing in the government as a lot of policies and programs have been put in place for their well-being and that the government will not disappoint them.

He also thanked the judiciary ( appeal court) for upholding the rule of law and for the discharging of its duty without prejudice.
