“You haven’t achieve your optimum,” Lawan tells Service Chief

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has scored the performance of the Service Chiefs appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari about two months ago as still below optimum.

Lawan gave the scorecards shortly before ‘the Senate resolved to the committee of the whole to receive the Service Chiefs and heads of the nation’s security forces scheduled to brief the Red Chamber on Thursday on plans of the armed forces and security agencies to contain the present insecurity in Nigeria.

He said: “Trust us with what you think will be helpful to us as a parliament to help the cause of the armed forces and security agencies to perform better because you haven’t achieved the optimum but I can attribute that to inadequate resources.

The Senate President also assured that the National Assembly would remained a partner in progress with the service chiefs and heads of all security agencies for the nation to be the hub for investments that will provide employment opportunities for the nation’s teeming youths.
