The youngest presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Professor Christopher Imumolen, has commended President Bola Tinubu’s massive youth inclusion in his government, saying the feat was unprecedented.
The don, who is the proprietor of Joint Professional Training and Support International Limited (JPTS), an educational body that has trained over 30,000 certified professionals, gave the commendation at a get-together party to celebrate his 40th birthday in Abuja yesterday.
Imumolen, who contested the last Presidential Election on the platform of the Accord Party, said he was being encouraged by Tinubu’s appointments so far which according to him were made up of mostly youths.
He, therefore, urged the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and that of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, to join hands with the Tinubu’s administration so that the country could move forward.

He said his purpose in contesting the last presidential election was to make use of youths to run the affairs of the country since they possess the energy, knowledge, and exposure to turn things around in Nigeria.
The Edo-born entrepreneur and educationist also described untrue claims in certain quarters that appointments so far made by Tinubu were lopsided.
Imumolen said, “We fought for youth inclusion in governance and that is what President Bola Tinubu is currently doing.
“I was the only youth in the last presidential election. Even people that were claiming that they are Obedient and would vote for a younger person. They know that Peter Obi is not a youth.
“I was the youngest in that race. What I was trying to drive is that youths have to be included because they carry the creativity, energy, exposure, and knowledge to drive our country to the next destination.
“The youth of this nation are tired of being used and dumped. They are tired of not being included in the political calculation of this country.
“If you see the appointment coming up now, 85 per cent of the appointments were given to the youths. It is very encouraging and I love it. That is what we are fighting for. If that is what we can achieve, believe me, I can feel that I am the president of this country.
“We, the youths carry the technical knowledge to solve the country’s problems. We are the ones that have the strength to deliver our country. When Nigeria gained independence, those who fought for the country did so when they were young.”
