The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Zamfara State Council, has expressed readiness to hold elections in all the state offices on or before March 23.
The Secretary of the Credential Committee, Dahiru Samaila, disclosed this in a public notice signed and made available to newsmen in Gusau on Wednesday.
Samaila said the committee had kick-started the sale of nomination forms, saying all interested members who wish to contest for any position from the state executive should purchase forms.
He said the sale of the nomination form continues until March 7th, 2022, and no extension of time beyond the said date will be entertained.
Although the National headquarters of NUJ had yet to approve the date of the election, it would not exceed March 23, as it was the date at which the current tenure will terminate.
He said, “while waiting for national headquarters to approve a date for the election, all other arrangements will continue”. (NAN)
