Daberechi Effiong, Head Consumer Asset Product, Ecobank Group, says it has unveiled a special loan package for female entrepreneurs in the country. She made the announcement on Tuesday in a statement entitled ‘Ecobank Nigeria unveils special loan package for female entrepreneurs’.
The bank mentioned that they designed the loan in a way to empower the female entrepreneurs and business owners in the country financially hence the tag ‘Ecobank Female Entrepreneurs Initiative’.
She buttressed that the EFEI loan is geared towards boosting the small-scale businesses run by women.
She added that this was a further demonstration of the importance the bank attached to the role of women in sustainable development and contribution to the nation’s economy.
The EFEI coordinator further explained that prospective female business owners could access credit with an interest rate as low as one per cent. She also made it clear that the process of acquiring the credit was stress-free and easy.
