2023: Social media acceptability cannot guarantee win, Atiku tells Obi

The presidential candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has said that the social media presence and acceptability of the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi cannot guarantee his win in the 2023 general election.

Atiku stated this during an interview with Arise TV on Friday.

In his argument, the presidential candidate said the Labour Party does not have a government in any state nor in the national assembly, acknowledging that Peter Obi is not a threat in the coming election.

“The Labour Party does not have a government in any state or anyone in the National Assembly. Peter Obi is not a threat. They said they have 1 million votes in Osun on social media. Meanwhile, 90 percent voters are not voting through social media,” Atiku said.

Atiku also spoke on his relationship with the flagbearer of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, stating that they are still friends despite their political differences.

He said, “I’m still a friend of him and being friends with him doesn’t mean we can’t have our political differences.”
