The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Rep. Ogundu Kingsley Chinda, has toured flood-affected communities across the state, expressing concern over the impact of the disaster on residents, homes and livelihoods.
Chinda, who was accompanied by Hon. Major Jack, inspected some of the affected areas and listened to the concerns of residents grappling with the recurring flooding. He said addressing the problem would require proper drainage systems, effective flood control measures and sustained investment in infrastructure.
The APC candidate promised to pursue a permanent and sustainable solution to the flooding challenge if given the opportunity to serve, assuring affected communities that their concerns would remain a priority.
