Ogun State Police Command has arrested three suspected ‘’yahoo boys’’ for allegedly gang raping an 18-year girl (name withheld) in Ogun.
The suspects, Tunde Sadiq Taiwo 22, Damilola Adesina 20 and Adegoke Amos, 21 were last Saturday arrested following a report by the victim at the Ilese Divisional Headquarters, Ijebu Ode.

Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi in a statement quoted the victim as saying that the suspects blocked her and forcefully dragged her into the car and drove her to Rationwa Area where they took turns to rape her at gun point.
‘’On the strength of the report, the divisional police officer in charge, Yakubu Bala, mobilised his detectives and stormed their hideout where one of the suspects was arrested.
He added that the arrested one led the police to the other two and they were subsequently arrested.
‘’On interrogation, they confessed committing the crime and claimed to have believed that the police were no longer working hence they can do anything they like but they were surprised when police came after them’’.
Oyeyemi said the police commissioner in the state, Edward Awolowo Ajogun had ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.
He also warned that those criminals who have that erroneous belief that police have been subdued will meet their waterloo in no distance time.
