Abia rep, Alex Ikwechegh caught on camera assaulting delivery driver
Alex Ikwechegh, the member representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly has been caught on camera assaulting a yet-to-be-identified delivery driver.
In the now-viral video captured by the driver, the lawmaker slapped his victim twice during an altercation.
Ikwechegh also boastfully stated that he would lock him up in his generator house and make him disappear and ‘nothing will happen’.
The driver had been sent to deliver a package to the lawmaker by a vendor he patronised earlier.
The altercation, however, started when the driver asked Ikwechegh to come out to collect his item.
The lawmaker found the statement disrespectful and ordered the driver to bring the product into his compound.
The driver’s refusal to do the lawmaker’s bidding led to a dispute which turned verbally and physically violent as Ikwechegh pounced on the driver who appeared to be calm throughout the encounter after he requested to be paid fees for his service.
While calling the vendor, the lawmaker threatened to make the driver disappear and boasted that no one would question him.
As of the time of this report, the lawmaker is yet to react to the viral video.
