The Nigeria Super Eagles national football team departed Lagos for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) holding in Cote d’Ivoire on Wednesday.
The players were dressed in traditional white kaftans paired with vibrant green caps.
The departure comes after a special dinner hosted by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House, Marina.
The AFCON is slated to commence on Saturday, January 13, while the team’s first match is on Sunday, January 14, against Equatorial Guinea1.
