Akwa Ibom state Commissioner for Lands and Water resources, Pastor Umo Eno has thanked the State Governor, Emmanuel Udom for picking him as his successor in 2023
ThisNigeria reported that Emmanuel on Sunday announced Eno to succeed him as governor in 2023.
The Governor made the announcement at a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders’ meeting at Government House Lodge, Uyo, on Sunday evening.
Eno, in appreciation, led his campaign team to consult the governor at the Hilltop Mansion.
The delegates include House of Assembly members, Commissioners, local government Chairmen, some members of the National Assembly and prominent PDP leaders in the state.

Speaking during the visit, the governor said that there was no room for godfatherism in the state.
“The day I leave office, I leave. I don’t want even one minute more through a successor. This government has no godfather. For me, God is the father of everyone.
“All I want is the welfare of the citizens of Akwa Ibom. Trust me, I personally do not harbour any anger against anyone. If I do, I wouldn’t have the space in my heart to conceive development and ideas to move the state forward,” Udom said
