Following the decamping of Senator Barnabas Gemade of the Social Democratic Party, APC invites former members who decamped to return to the fold.
Prominent politicians such as PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, former senate president Bukola Saraki, Governor of Benue State Samuel Ortom decamped ahead of the 2019 polls. The All Progressive Congress is inviting them to be part of the party regardless of the reasons why they decamped.
The APC in a statement by Yekini Nabena, Deputy National Publicity Secretary, says that they are trying to reposition the Party. “We assure all true progressives who left the party over whatever grievance to return and join ongoing efforts to reposition the APC and further achieve our pro-people plans for the country.”
Also, former speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has switched to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
The Benue state chairman of the party, Comrade Abba Yaro, says that Gemade is an asset to the party as he expressed joy over his return.
