Leading All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, Comrade Ayodele Adewale, has obtained his Nomination and Expression of Interest Form for the House of Representatives ahead of the party’s primary election.
A statement by his campaign organization said Adewale secured the form on Wednesday in Abuja, formally qualifying him for the APC primary scheduled for May 15, 2026.
The development comes amid personal grief following the recent loss of his mother, a period his supporters described as a testament to his resilience and commitment to public service.
Despite the emotional burden, Adewale has continued his political engagements, maintaining what his campaign described as a steadfast dedication to the people of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.
In recent days, he visited riverine communities affected by a tragic gas explosion, where he sympathized with bereaved families and pledged solidarity with residents during the difficult period.
He also attended a town hall meeting in Igbologun community, where he met with traditional rulers, youth groups, women leaders and other stakeholders.
During the engagement, Adewale reiterated his commitment to people-centred representation, promising to serve as a strong voice for the constituency while pursuing meaningful development projects and improved welfare for residents.
He assured the communities of his resolve to attract federal presence, expand economic opportunities and ensure the constituency benefits fully from democratic governance.
Community leaders at the meeting reportedly praised his record as former Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, citing infrastructural development, grassroots empowerment and social intervention programmes executed during his tenure from 2008 to 2014.
They expressed confidence in his leadership capacity and pledged support for his aspiration ahead of the APC primary.
Adewale’s campaign said his candidacy continues to gain momentum, positioning him as a symbol of experienced, compassionate and inclusive leadership for the future of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.
