The Abia State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has denied reports that it suspended the Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu.
Some online publications had reported that Abia APC suspended Kalu, who is the state’s North Senatorial candidate, for anti-party activities.
However, dismissing the report, the party’s spokesman, Okey Ezeala accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of being behind the fake news.

Ezeala, in a brief statement, distanced the party from the news and described it as false.
“The malicious write up is occasioned by the PDP’s fright to accept tomorrow’s imminent defeat.
“Senator Orji Uzor Kalu remains the candidate of our great party as both the party and his constituents are satisfied with his performance,” Ezeala said.
He stated further that Orji Kalu was not involved in any anti-party activities as alleged in the report, adding that he has always remained “a committed member of the party and its progress.”
