A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Femi Fani-Kayode has said that Northern governors of the party cannot determine its presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections.
Fani-Kayode said this in reaction to the governors submitting a 5-man list of aspirants to President Muhammadu Buhari for consideration.
The aspirants include; Yemi Osinbajo, Bola Tinubu, Rotimi Amaechi, Kayode Fayemi and Dave Umahi.

Fani-Kayode tweeted: “It is not for the Northern Governors to singlehandedly zone or determine the Presidential candidate of our party.
“It is for the President, the National Chairman, the NWC & the delegates to decide.
“A challenge to the authority of the Chairman & supremacy of the party is unacceptable.”
ThisNigeria reported that Adamu had on Monday declared Senate President, Ahmed Lawan as the party’s consensus candidate.
