A Northern activist, Sarki, popularly known as Waspapping has expressed great worry over the emergence of Senator Aishatu Binani as the guber candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State.
Binani had won the state APC governorship primary with a total of 403 votes over over Nuhu Ribadu, Muhammad Bindow, and Abdulrazak Namdas.
Gambo Lawal, Chairman, Electoral Committee, disclosed this at the end of the primary election on Friday in Yola.
Reacting to the news, Waspapping described Binani’s win as “worrying times for the people of Adamawa.”

According to him, a woman is not allowed to lead in Islam.
“How can you allow a woman to win election? Worrying times for the people of Adamawa,” he tweeted.
Responding to Waspapping’s tweet, a Twitter user, @al-ameen tweeted: “You need to see how people gathered and were listening to the vote counts, the shouts and jubilation when she was announced winner could bring tears to your eyes. The woman has been doing good to people for ages, she single handedly helped to make MAUTECH a conventional university.”
Replying Al-Ameen’s tweet, the activist wrote: “As great as that sounds , I’m talking from an Islamic perspective my brother.”
