Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has announced that opposition parties will form a coalition ahead of the 2027 presidential election to challenge the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.
The 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) made this known at a press conference at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja on Thursday.
While responding to a question on behalf of the opposition leaders, Atiku said, “Yes, this is the birth of the coalition of opposition ahead of 2027.”
The press conference focused on President Tinubu’s decision to suspend Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy Ngozi Odu, and the entire State House of Assembly for six months.
