The dead of the former presidential candidate of the national republican congress, Alhaji Bashir Tofar has been described by the former governor of Edo state and one time national chairman of All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie Oyegun as shocking particularly at this time the nation need people like him who believed in one Nigeria.

Chief Oyegun said Tofar was a matured and role model politician that means well for Nigeria’s unity.

“He was such a handsome man, young when I was the governor of Edo state, he came to campaign and he visited me in the office. Though I told him that, he is a fine gentle and intelligent man but we have a candidate already, that was MKO.

” Tofar is a refined politician and an elder statesman that will be missed seriously not just the Northern part of this country but the Nigerians who sees him as a mentor in politics. Is really sad to hear of his death.
