Be protective, Association urges Nigerians in S/Africa

The Nigerian Citizens Association in South Africa (NICASA) has urged Nigerians living in the country to take precautions while doing business in troubled areas.
The President-General of NICASA, Mr. Ben Okoli, told newsmen in a telephone interview on Tuesday that this was to avoid destruction of their goods and properties.
Okoli said that the situation whereby goods and properties were destroyed by arsonists had deteriorated, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
He gave further update on the recent destruction of properties by South African arsonists in Jules Street Johannesburg.
According to him, COVID-19 is ravaging the country and now these arsonists and vandals are bent on destroying livelihood.
“The South African President in his speech last night assures that the problem will not be allowed to continue. He urges everyone to desist from acts capable of plunging the economy deeper into hardship.
