The Lagos State Government has vowed to penalize an Arise News presenter, Rufai Oseni for allegedly breaking a traffic law in the state.
This was made known by the Chief Press Secretary to the Lagos State Governor, Gboyega Akosile on Monday.
Rufai in a tweet on Monday had accused a police officer of pointing a gun at him, forcefully taking his keys, and driving off his car because he wanted to enforce a traffic infraction.
“A Nigerian police officer pointed a gun at me and forcefully took my keys and drove my car off, because he wanted to enforce a traffic infraction.

“I offered to pay for the traffic infraction, but the police officer was hell bent on forcefully collecting my keys and pointing a gun at me. I saw three other cars drive by the BRT lane and they were not stopped. I am at sea! Why point a gun at me and forcefully collect my key? I am shocked” Rufai said.
Reacting to this, Akosile accused Rufai of being a lawbreaker and assured that he will be severely punished for his actions.
