President Mohammadu Buhari has said that he has given the power to police, others to be ruthless.

The President made this known in an interview with Arise Tv on Thursday morning.

He also said that the  Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is a dot in a circle.

He said: “We have given the Police the directive to be ruthless with people stealing another person’s belongings and destroying others’ property. You will see that there will be a difference in coming weeks.”

He also said that corruption is very difficult under the system even in the military.

He said: ‘When I collected people and put them in prison and said to them that are guilty until they can prove themself innocent and put investigation panel… eventually I was arrested and detained and they were given back what they have looted.’

He said that in a democracy corruption cases take 10 years to prosecute but assured that his government will deal with anybody that they have correct intelligence that they are accountable.

He went on to say that it is known that his government do not tolerate corruption

On the northeast, he said that the problem is very difficult.

He said that one of the governors of the northeast is working very hard and that that government is taking a lot of risks.

He said that he asked the governor if the Boko Haram terrorists are Nigerians?  Buhari said the governor told him that they are Nigerians.

Buhari said, “You know these people more than I do, and you are democratically elected to protect your people. Don’t sit idly expecting me to do everything, take action.”
