The former Minister of Women Affairs and Senator at the 7th Senate Aisha Jummai Alhassan, is dead.
Alhassan, popularly called ‘Mama Taraba’, died in a Cairo hospital in Egypt.
She was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) into the 7th Senate and later dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Under the APC she contested for governorship 2015 elections in Taraba State.
