Businessman pays tribute to longest- serving in Edo

Edo businessman, Moses Omo-Ikirodah has paid a parting tribute to the longest serving Head of Service (HoS) in the State, Dr. Simon Imuekemhe.

The retired public Servsnt, who hailed from Ikabigbo Community in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, passed last week Thursday, February 18, 2021 after a brief illness at 66 years.

In a condolence message to the family of the deceased, the people of Etsako, and Edo State Government, Omo-Ikirodah, described Imuekemhe as an asset whose wealth of experience in the public service and administration would be difficult to replace in the State and in the entire Country.

“Dr. Imuekemhe was a great asset to the public service and the medical profession in Nigeria. His passing is a huge loss to Edo State and Nigeria at large.

“His contribution to the growth of the Civil service will always be remembered”, he said.

The deceased, was a former Permanent Secretary, Government House, Chairman, Edo State Internal Revenue Service during the administration of Lucky Igbinedion.

He also served as Head of Service during the governor Osunbor Oserhiemen administration and Secretary to the State Government during the Adams Oshiomhole-led Government with several record breaking impact in the lives of Nigerians that crossed his path.
