Two Nigerian athletes in the women’s F55-57  shot put games in the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Eucharia Iyiazi and Ugochi Alam have won gold and bronze medals respectfully.

Iyiazu set a new Commonwealth record with her 10.03m throw to win the gold medal in the game.

Presidency working toward stabilising education, keeping students in schools

Their win brings the total medals of Nigeria in the Commonwealth to 18, which moved team Nigeria to seventh in the medal standing.

The medals won so far by team Nigeria in the games include, eight gold, three silver and seven bronze medals
