Centre LSD holds dialogue on Nigerian debt profile

The African Centre for Leadership, Strategy and Development (Centre LSD), has concluded arrangement to host its first series of policy dialogues, scheduled for Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in Abuja.

The dialogue theme “Nigerian Debt Profile: Issues, implications, Lessons and Solutions for the Next Administration” has become necessary for stakeholders to jointly review the issues and the implications they pose for the incoming civilian administration in the country.

A statement by Mrs. Victoria Udoh, the Centre, said the dialogue, conceptualized to be hybrid, will not only be diagnostic of the problems but will offer an opportunity for stakeholders to have a shared understanding of the intensity of the debt crises in the country and to come up with clear recommendations for the new administration to take forward.

Prof Isah Mohammad of the Economics Department of the University of Abuja will be the guest speaker at the event.

He will be supported by an array of discussants from government and civil society including Dr. Ayo Ojua, Danjuma Mohammed, Mr. Botti Isaac, Tijan Bolton Akpan, and a Representative of the Ministry of Finance and Debt Management Office.

The statement enjoined members of the public who may not be able to attend in person to follow the conversations via the Centre LSD social media handles and or explore joining the dialogue via zoom.
