The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement has said its Youth Convention, entitled: “My God My Glory”, would encourage youth zeal for evangelism.
The Media Director for the Church, Pastor Louis Chidi, said this in an interview with newsmen on Thursday in Lagos.
Chidi said that the annual convention which was canceled in 2020 because of the Coronavirus pandemic, had been rescheduled for Sept. 10 to Sept. 11.
The pastor said that the event would hold at the Church revival ground headquarters in Lagos, adding it would reawaken the youth’s zeal for gospel works.
“The purpose of the conference is to awaken the consciousness of Christian Youths so as to be acquainted with what is expected of them in this generation.
“They will be taught the need and benefits of spending the prime of their years serving God by being active in the good news message.
“The Scripture admonishes people to worship God in the days of their youth.
“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them,” he said.
Chidi stressed that emphases would be laid on instilling in them the necessity of serving God now that they had the agility to do so.
He added that the theme of the convention, ‘MY GOD, MY GLORY’, speaks for itself.
According to him, the only good gift you can give to youth is to make him understand that God alone is the one that determines one’s success.
He, therefore, advised Nigerian youths to embrace God for them to be successful in life, adding that one must seek God first in order to live an impactful life.
Chidi decried the pedestrian and uncultured life style youths are exposed to in society.
He said the program was designed to scripturally help people be informed about the evil of the present day and how to evade it.
Chidi charged the youths to put the social media to use in the area of evangelism rather than join the bandwagon of cyber tricksters.
He said the conference would equip people to be a good example of Christian Youths, having conduct that is beyond reproach.
Chidi urged the youth to attend the event as it is tailored to make them remain ambassadors for Christ, as they were expected to be the light to the world.

He further noted that besides the expository preachings, the event would feature an interactive session where participants would collectively hold discussions on ways to overcome challenges.
Chidi said that resourceful persons had been invited to give talks on such subjects as entrepreneurship, health management, relationship, evangelism, and communication.
