The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the November 8, 2025, Anambra governorship election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, has secured fresh backing from his hometown of Orsumenyi and allied diaspora groups.
At a rally organised by Orsumenyi Elites, the candidate received two branded vehicles and cash contributions to support his campaign. The group also pledged additional financial support, including ₦5 million earmarked for vehicle maintenance, with assurances of more aid in the coming weeks.
Chief Frank Umeh, international President of the Orsumenyi Elites, said the gesture was only the beginning. He stressed that the community and its diaspora members were committed to mobilising all available resources for Ukachukwu’s victory.
Similar pledges came from other groups, including the Ikemba Front, Lagos Branch, whose members vowed to return home to vote, and the Ikukuoma Youth Movement, Lagos Chapter, which reaffirmed their “total commitment” to Ukachukwu’s candidacy.
The donations, coming barely two months before the election, are viewed as a morale booster for the APC candidate, signalling growing momentum behind his campaign.
Ukachukwu, in his response, thanked his relatives and supporters, describing the support as a divine endorsement. “This project is ours collectively. I am confident that with God and with unity of purpose, we will succeed,” he declared.
