Concert for Change has disbursed N55 million to five charities across Nigeria following the successful hosting of its Green Worship 8 Benefit Concert, reinforcing its commitment to supporting orphans and children living with disabilities.
The beneficiary organisations, spread across five states, are Comrade David Ofoeyeno School for Special Children in Warri, Delta State; Marvelous Foundation Orphans Care Centre in Minna, Niger State; Super Parent Foundation in Lagos State; Hope Orphanage in Akure, Ondo State; and Learning Disabilities Society of Nigeria in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Each organisation will receive N11 million to fund critical needs including infrastructure development, specialised equipment, therapy services, educational materials, and other targeted interventions aimed at improving the quality of life and long-term prospects of vulnerable children in their care.
The N55 million disbursement represents a 49.66 per cent increase from the N36.75 million distributed last year, marking nearly a 50 per cent year-on-year growth.
The N18.25 million increase reflects what organisers described as growing donor confidence and expanding support for the initiative.
Speaking on the milestone, Managing Trustee of Concert for Change, Wale Adenuga, said the increase demonstrates sustained compassion and commitment from supporters.
“Every year, we are reminded that compassion is still alive,” he said. “This increase is not just a financial milestone, it is proof that individuals are willing to give sacrificially to support children who might otherwise be forgotten. Our commitment remains clear: transparency, measurable impact, and meaningful partnership with credible charities.”
The funds were raised through the Green Worship 8 Benefit Concert, an annual platform that mobilises individuals, corporate partners, and communities to generate sustainable funding for frontline charities.
Beyond fundraising, the concert also serves to raise awareness about the challenges faced by orphaned and physically challenged children across the country.
Since its inception, formerly known as Worship for Change, Concert for Change has raised over N200 million, supporting 49 charities and impacting thousands of vulnerable children nationwide.
The organisation emphasised that strengthened accountability structures and milestone-based disbursement processes remain central to its operations, ensuring responsible stewardship of donated funds.
Concert for Change reiterated its commitment to expanding its reach, easing the burden on charitable institutions, and delivering measurable, child-focused impact across Nigeria.
