Covid-19 Exposed Poor State Of Health Facilities in Nigeria Says Emir Bayero

The outbreak of the dreaded Covid-19 disease has exposed the fragile and worrisome state of health facilities in Nigeria, Emir of Bichi, Nasiru Ado Bayero has stated.
The monarch added that the pandemic has dragged economic and social services to shambles.
The traditional ruler, who spoke while receiving participants of the senior course 43 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College Jaji , who paid homage to the Emir’s palace in Bichi Emirate Council, lamented that the pandemic has generated unemployment and social vices, stressing that the increases in cases of rape, kidnapping and banditry has recorded phenomenal rise since the outbreak of the disease.
He appealed to governments at all levels to intensify efforts towards improving the provision of health services, adding that the provision of insurance packages to vulnerable persons would help cushion the hardship imposed on Nigerians by the disease.
Emir Bayero further pleaded with course 43 participants to utilize the knowledge acquired during the duration of their studies to assist in proffering solutions to the calamities inflicted on Nigerian citizens by the outbreak of the disease.
The monarch urged the class to make recommendations on methods that could be adopted to crack major challenges confronting national development in Nigeria.
The leader of the delegation, Commodore S A. Akinwande said the team was in Kano to research and asses the technique applied by the state government in tackling the menace posed by the outbreak of Covid-19 in the state.
He assured that the class would make recommendations that would help contribute to all spheres of national development in Nigeria.
