A mother and her six-year-old daughter have been gang raped by some men in a moving vehicle after they offered to assist them with a lift to their home in India.

The incident happened on Friday, June 24th when the mother and daughter went visiting Piran Kaliyar, a holy site in India’s Uttarakhand province.

The Superintendent of the province Pramendra Doval, disclosed that the alleged driver simply identified as Sonu already had passengers in his vehicle when he offered to take the mum and daughter whose names remain undisclosed, Daily Star reports.

He said, “Whilst the car was still moving the men attacked and raped the pair before dumping them at a nearby canal”.

The woman however managed to get to the police station in the middle of the night to report the gang rape.

Through her statement, the identity of the driver was identified while investigation is ongoing to catch the perpetrators of the evil act..

The mother and daughter were rushed to a nearby hospital within the province where medics confirmed that they had both been sexually assaulted.
