The maiden Dr D.K . Olukoya Ibile Football Cup tournament gets under way today (Saturday) at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium Surulere Lagos.
Eight non league clubs officially registered for the grassroots tournament yesterday, are aiming for the prestigeous trophy and #200,000 for the eventual Champion come May 22, while First and Second runner ups would take home #150, 000 and #70,000 ,
Chairperson of the organising committee and chairman of Lagos State Football and other sports suppoters club, Afolashade Gbajumo who confirmed this yesterday said Gallant FC and Trojan FC will play the opening match, kicking off by 11am, before the clash involving Eduardeme Soccer Academy.

Gbajumo, while expressing gratitude to Dr Olukoya, General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministry for supporting youth sports development noted that excellent security and medical arrangement have been put in place, besides quality officiating.
