
The Rivers State Commissioner for Special Projects, Emeka Woke and the Commissioner for Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, Mrs Inime Aguma have resigned.
Woke and Aguma tendered their resignation in a letter dated 14th December, 2023 and addressed to the state Governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Woke stated that his resignation is “necessitated by pressing family demands and the need to create time for them.”
Aguma, in her letter, thanked the governor for the opportunity to serve the people of Rivers State.
ThisNigeria reports that a total of five commissioners have resigned from their positions in Fubara’s administration.

They include the Commissioner for Finance, Issac Kamalu;, Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Prof Zacchaeus Adangor; and the Commissioner for Works, George-Kelly Alabo.
Their resignations may not be unconnected to the political crisis rocking the state.
