
The Edo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated Alhaji Mohammed Abdulrahman on his appointment as the Acting National Chairman of the party, describing his emergence as a source of renewed hope and confidence for members across the country.
In a statement issued in Benin City and signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Bob-Manuel Umoru, the party commended Alhaji Abdulrahman for his dedication, loyalty, and exemplary leadership, noting that his elevation was well-deserved.
The statement recalled that before his appointment, Alhaji Abdulrahman served meritoriously as the National Vice Chairman (North Central Zone), where he demonstrated steadfast commitment to the ideals of the PDP and contributed significantly to the party’s growth.
“The Edo State Chapter has no doubt in his capacity to provide the needed leadership that will reposition our great party for unity, stability, and renewed strength,” the statement read in part.
It expressed optimism that under the new Acting Chairman’s leadership, the long-awaited reconciliation process within the party would commence, bridging divisions, restoring trust, and returning the PDP to the path of progress and purpose.
Describing the period as a defining moment for the PDP, the Edo State Chapter assured Alhaji Abdulrahman of its full support and cooperation as he embarks on the task of rebuilding and revitalizing the party ahead of future elections.
While praying for divine wisdom, strength, and success for the new Acting Chairman, the Edo PDP reaffirmed its commitment to the collective vision of repositioning the PDP as the true voice of the Nigerian people.
