An eleven-year-old girl has become United Kingdom’s youngest mother after giving birth recently.

The girl whose name has been kept secret for some reason was said to have been impregnated at the age of 10 and was not aware that she was pregnant.

According to the Sun, the girl gave birth earlier in June and both mother and baby are in good health.

Sources told the Sun that: “It has come as a big shock. She’s now being surrounded by expert help. The main thing is that she and the baby are okay,”

“There are questions around why people did not know. That is very worrying.”

The previous UK’s youngest mother, Tressa Middleton, gave birth aged 12, in 2006.
