Enoh lights up 2024 Calabar Carnival

Driven by the federal government determination to boost the nation’s economic growth, the Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh has joined other top government officials to grace the ongoing Africa’s largest Street Party, Calabar Carnival and Festivals.

This year’s carnival tagged, “Our Shared Prosperity” is an exceptional celebration of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, which attracts participants from across the globe.

Apart from exposing Nigeria’s rich cultures to the world, the annual Calabar Carnival and Festivals, also offers an avenue for businesses and industries to leverage.

The host governor, Senator Bassey Otu had in his speech on December 26, 2024, said, “We are thrilled to present an even greater array of activities, as we come together to celebrate Our Shared Prosperity.”

The minister in his speech, expressed happiness over the sustainability of the carnival which has put the country tourism in the world map, since it started 2006.

“I commend the Cross River State government for sustaining this carnival since 2006. This carnival exposes Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and business opportunities to the world. Honestly I’m excited,” he said.

The 2024 edition of the Calabar Carnival and Festival is a fusion of music, dance, culture, and innovation, with parades, exhilarating performances, and creative brand experiences that will captivate thousands of local and international visitors.

The week long carnival which started on December 26, ends on December 31, 2024.
